By no means a master class, this workshop introduces you to the italic style of lettering in a way that makes it accessible to EVERYONE - no matter what your handwriting looks like! We'll start with an introduction to the Parallel Pen - the easiest way to learn and practice italic, and get you started with the basics of the italic hand.
From there our rebellious natures will take over as we break the calligraphy rules! We'll get fun and funky as we explore all sorts of variations, using various tools and strokes to make our alphabets.
You'll not only leave with practice worksheets (in case you really do want to master calligraphy), but also with tons of tricks to make your lettering look cool: aging, watercoloring, glittering, foiling, gilding and more!
