--------------------------------------------

Looking for a fun way to use paint to make amazing handprinted papers and prints?  Printmaking is an amazing way to let your playful creative spirit come out!

No experience necessary with these easy techniques using gel printing plates.  And if you have dabbled in printmaking already, Kathryn will help you take it to a whole other level!

During the 1st hour, you'll learn how to use a gel printing plate for 3 different printmaking techniques:

1) basic printing techniques

2)  direct painting (for a more painterly print) and

3)  Intaglio style (engraved-looking) prints.

During the remainder of the class we will discuss methods to embellish and collage the prints, with plenty of time to play and create a stack of hand-painted prints for future projects! (or to use for the afternoon class!)

Supplies that are provided:

Paper

Canvas Board

Some OPEN paint and Soft Gel Matte for use during the workshop (to add to your own paint colors you bring)

Use of stencils and texture tools

Supplies for you to bring:

Gelli Plate (any size)

Brayer

Acrylic or Golden OPEN paints

Favorite stencils or large foam stamps (optional:  please mark your name on them).  Kathryn will also have some to use :)

Materials you want to use for collage (additional printing or collage papers, 3D elements, ephemera, etc.)

Pens, etc. for drawing/doodling/writing on painted papers

(Note:  supply kits are available at a discount, click here to order by May 26th)
