Marbled Envelope Book: A Meditative Art Project
(with Open Studio Time afterward)
Come try this EASY marbling process based on the ancient Japanese art of Suminagashi (the art of floating ink). And then assemble an easy version of an accordion book, made with envelopes and a ribbon closure.
We'll start with reflection time to ponder 5 questions that will help you celebrate YOU and move you into your future BEST self. These will be the inserts for your "Book of Me." You'll learn our tips for suminagashi marbling and create 5 unique marbled envelopes. We'll then show you how to assemble it all together for a celebration and planning tool.
After learning and trying this project during the 1st hour, you'll also get to participate in 2 hours of Open Studio time to continue working on this project or your own personal project. Feel free to bring your own supplies/artwork, snacks/beverages and relax/play in our unique, creative space. We also have lots of supplies for you to play with! (See description under Open Studio.)
